Grant applications are now closed. We had a enthusiastic response with over 240 concept proposals sent in. The number of submissions shows how big the gaps are in financial literacy education. The high quality of the proposals shows that organisations are thinking deeply about how to improve financial capability in the community.
A fantastic aspect of the grants process is how it has brought organisations together to work co-operatively and build partnerships. Most of the stronger applications (big and small) involve partnerships and sharing information.
We will be contacting organisations in early August to indicate whether they will be invited to submit a more detailed application.
